A native of northern New Jersey, Ms. Samuel-Siegel came to Charlottesville in 1992 to attend the University of Virginia. After earning a B.A. in Government and Women’s Studies, she took up residence in the Charlottesville/Albemarle community and worked at the University for two years.

Ms. Samuel-Siegel went on to attend the University of Richmond School of Law were she was awarded a John Marshall Scholarship, U. of R.'s highest academic honor for an entering student. In 2001, Ms. Samuel-Siegel received a J.D., graduating magna cum laude. After graduation, she served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Harry L. Carrico, the then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Over the course of her two years in Justice Carrico’s chambers, Ms. Samuel-Siegel honed her lawyering skills under the direction of one of Virginia's most respected judges.

Since joining Tucker Griffin Barnes in September 2003, Ms. Samuel-Siegel's practice has included numerous areas of law, including real estate, contracts, bankruptcy, estate administration, and general civil litigation.

Her current areas of specialization include real estate transactions, such as for-sale-by-owner contracts, co-ownership agreements, easements, leases, and covenants and restriction, as well as real estate and general litigation, including breach of contract, trespass, fraud, warranties, and landlord/tenant. Combining the advocacy of a litigator with the perspective of a transactional attorney, Ms. Samuel-Siegel enjoys representing individuals, investors, associations, and small businesses.

Dana M. Slater

Dana M. Slater works primarily in the criminal courts and is well-known as a strong advocate and aggressive litigator for her clients. Ms. Slater was an Albemarle County police officer for 11 years. Her clients benefit from Ms. Slater's knowledge of the law enforcement mindset, her investigative skills, and her resourcefulness. Ms. Slater also represents clients with immigration issues.

In the Virginia and Federal Court Systems she has defended against felonies such as capital murder, manslaughter, malicious wounding, drug distribution and possession, breaking and entering, grand larceny, embezzlement, and fraud charges. Ms. Slater has represented clients with high profile public and media interest cases. She also represents clients accused of misdemeanors and petty offenses such as DUI's, underage possession of alcohol, drugs, assault & battery, larceny, trespass, and traffic violations.

After graduating from University of Richmond Law School in 1999 with her J.D., Ms. Slater accepted a clerkship from a Federal Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court in Newark, New Jersey. She also did a summer clerkship in the Immigration Courts in New York, New York.

Ms. Slater demonstrates a history of hard work and success through her previous military service, international competition as a world-class long distance runner, her achievement of All-American Honors, National 10K Road Race Champion and two time NCAA Women’s Cross-Country National Team Champion at University of Virginia.

Carol M. Caesar is our employment, business and real estate loan modification attorney. She also has extensive experience representing unions and government agencies from the local to state level. Ms. Caesar is a native of Culpeper, VA and attended Radford University. She attended the University Of Denver Strum College Of Law in Denver, CO.
