COVID-19: Our Commitment to our Clients and our Staff
We’re open for business:
Tucker Griffin Barnes P.C. is diligently working to meet the changing needs of our clients and our staff in light of COVID-19. Based on recommendations from the Virginia courts and healthcare professionals regarding “social distancing,” we are taking the following steps:
- For our real estate clients, we are providing innovative ways to reduce personal contact for real estate closings, such as using Powers of Attorney and mail-away options to reduce the need to physically come into the office. Our closing paralegals will discuss specific options with you prior to closing.
- For our non-real estate clients, most meetings can effectively take place via video conferencing or telephone. When scheduling an appointment, we will let you know the options we have available, such as Zoom, in lieu of an in-office meeting with your attorney.
- If you need to drop paperwork off by the office, please call us and let us know in advance—we will arrange to have someone pick up your paperwork from you at your car. This also applies if you need to pick up documents—let us bring them out to you! Just give us a call! We also have a drop box set up outside our office.
- When possible, we are using programs like DocuSign to transmit documents that do not require original signatures.
As everyone knows, the current situation is changing on a minute by minute basis right now—and our protocols may have to change as well.
Please know that Tucker Griffin Barnes is enacting these procedures for the health and safety of our clients and our staff. We will do the best we can to meet your legal needs in these changing times and are thinking ahead to meet possible future changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at 434-973-7474 or [email protected].
